Botox

What is BOTOX® ?

Botox is used cosmetically to remove wrinkles by temporarily weakening muscles. It is made from a neurotoxin that is produced by a micro organism found in the natural environment where it is largely inactive and non-toxic. The toxin is purified and diluted for cosmetic use.

What areas of the face can BOTOX help with?

  • Smooth upper forehead lines

  • Relax crows' feet

  • Relax frown lines

  • Smooth smoker's lines

  • Lift the eyebrow and widen the eyes

  • Tighten lower eyelid wrinkles

  • Reverse vertical neck bands

  • To elevate a perpetual frowning mouth

  • Smoothing excessive chin dimpling

Can you change my jawline with BOTOX?

Yes. BOTOX offers dramatic improvements for the jowls (masseter muscles) to soften the face and shape it so it becomes less square and more heart shaped.

What are Dermal Fillers?

They are hypoallergenic injectable skin volume enhancers that last up to 2 years. This is a safe solution to fix deep folds, wrinkles and lip volume. They can replace a face lift with minimal to no down time and look natural.

What can Dermal Fillers do for me?

  • Re-shape and re-balance your lips, create a high arch to your cheeks and create a beautiful chin and mouth area.

  • For men we use fillers to enhance the jaw and chin

  • Lift sagging and sunken cheeks, reshape and enhance a receding mouth and restore sunken eyes.

  • Soften acne and surgical scarring

What are dermal fillers made of?

The vast majority of fillers are made of HA or Hyaluronic Acid. HA is made by a process called bacterial fermentation the same process that produces Human Insulin. Hyaluronic acid is normally present in our skin and thus provides a natural way to improve your look.

What type of reactions should I look out for?

The most common reaction is swelling and bruising at the injection site. This is usually mild and may last 48 hours. The occasional individual may have more severe swelling. If the product injected inadvertently blocks the vascular supply to the skin or other facial organ, reactions can be quite severe. Luckily if caught early we can correct this problem and dissolve any filler that was injected.

Bruising can be attenuated with Arnica or a medication used in our office TXA.
